What we collect

  • Guests: the nickname you choose, your table or seat, game scores, chat messages and waves, venue gift cards you send or receive, and — only if you claim your rank — your email or Google account.
  • Venues: account email, bar details, menu, partner agreement, league activity, and payout status from Stripe.
  • Venue demo requests: if you ask for the venue-owner demo, the name, work email, venue, city, state or region, country and optional phone you enter, the game you picked, and limited source information — campaign tags in the link you used and the GBN page or outside website (site address only, not the full link) you came from. We use this to follow up with you about the demo and bringing GBN to your venue. We also count demo starts, finishes and which follow-up button was chosen; those counts are not tied to the details you enter. The demo uses no advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Optional Google Analytics (see Analytics below) runs only if you accept it.
  • Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.
  • Technical data: basic device and connection information needed to run live video and keep the service secure.

Live video

Video is streamed live between participating venues so the rooms can see each other. We do not record, sell, or use video for facial recognition.

How we use it

To run games, leaderboards and free bar-run leagues, credit venue gift cards to the right person and let the issuing venue redeem them, process payments, provide support, and prevent abuse. We do not sell personal information.

Who we share with

The venues you play with (your nickname, seat and scores appear on their screens), Stripe for payments, Google for analytics only if you accept it, and service providers that host our systems — only as needed to run GBN or when required by law.

Analytics (optional)

On our public website pages we offer optional Google Analytics. It stays off unless you choose Accept, and the site, demo and join form work the same if you decline. If you accept, Google receives the public page you view (without link parameters), the previous public page or referring site address, basic device and browser information, and identifiers stored in analytics cookies. We also send the fact that a demo request or venue application was successfully saved, with only its type and the game picked for a demo — never the name, email, phone or other details you enter. Signed-in areas, game controllers, private links and venue or staff tools are excluded. Advertising features and Google Signals are off.

Our current Google Analytics settings keep event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months (reset when you return). You can change your choice at any time with Analytics preferences in the site footer. Declining stops further analytics from this browser and removes our Google Analytics cookies where your browser allows; it does not delete data Google already received. See Google's How Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google Analytics data privacy.

Your choices

You can play under a nickname without an account. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, and residents of places such as California and the EU/UK have additional rights we will honor. Email support@globalbarnetwork.com.

Age

GBN is only for people of legal drinking age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors and will delete it if we learn of it.

Retention and security

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above, and protect it with access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure.

Changes

We will post updates here with a new date.
