Terms of Service
Last updated September 29, 2026
1. Who we are
Global Bar Network ("GBN", "we") provides an arcade-style venue-entertainment platform that connects participating locations through live video, digital games, leaderboards, free bar-run leagues and optional venue gift cards ("venue eGifts"). GBN does not manufacture, own, store, ship, deliver, prepare or serve alcohol. By using the site, scanning a GBN code, joining a game or operating a participating venue, you agree to these terms.
2. Age, identity and eligibility
You must meet the age requirements for each service and venue. You must be of legal drinking age where service occurs for a venue to serve you alcohol, including alcohol ordered with a venue gift card balance. A checkbox, account, profile, payment card or GBN screen is not proof of age or identity. The serving venue must examine acceptable identification and independently confirm age, identity and eligibility whenever required by applicable law or venue policy before accepting an order or serving alcohol.
3. Arcade entertainment — drinking is not gameplay
GBN games, scores, challenges and leaderboards are optional digital arcade entertainment. Alcohol consumption is not a rule, objective, penalty, reward, performance measure or condition of any GBN game. Games require no purchase, alcohol, water or other replacement liquid. A person may play without buying or consuming anything.
- No user or venue may turn a GBN game into a drinking contest, require consumption after an in-game event, or advertise speed, volume or frequency of drinking as gameplay.
- No alcohol, money, discount or other thing of value may be wagered or awarded through GBN for winning, losing, scoring or participating.
- Venue gift cards and menu viewing are optional and separate from gameplay, scores, rankings, leagues and outcomes. Leagues are free: no entry fees, prize pools, cash or other prizes. GBN does not encourage rapid, excessive or competitive consumption.
4. Venue gift cards (eGifts), recipient choice and payments
- A sender purchases a venue gift card: venue-specific stored value issued by the venue where the recipient is present. That receiving venue is the merchant and seller for later purchases. GBN supplies technology and does not sell, own, ship, deliver, prepare or serve alcohol.
- The sender chooses only an amount and an optional message. No menu item is selected, purchased, reserved or guaranteed, and a message is never an order. The recipient may choose any eligible food, nonalcoholic beverage, merchandise or alcoholic beverage permitted by the issuing venue, subject to law and staff approval.
- The full face value identified as the venue eGift is credited to the recipient's venue-specific balance. Separately disclosed network or processing fees do not reduce that face value. The balance cannot be transferred to another venue.
- The recipient may redeem all or part of the available balance. Unused value remains available at the issuing venue. Expiration, cash redemption, refunds and other stored-value rights are governed by the venue's disclosed terms and applicable law; these terms do not waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
- No alcohol or inventory moves between venues. Redemption occurs in person at the issuing venue, which applies its own menu prices, taxes, availability, license conditions and lawful sales hours.
- A gift card, payment confirmation, account, checkbox or message is not proof of age, does not guarantee alcohol service and never limits bartender discretion. The venue may refuse or delay alcohol service whenever required by law or safety, including when identification is inadequate or a recipient is underage or visibly intoxicated.
See our plain-language Venue eGifts & Responsible Service explanation. It supplements and does not replace these terms.
5. Cameras and live video
Participating areas may be shown live on screens in other venues. Signage marks those areas. Joining a game is optional; if you do not want to appear, stay out of the marked area or ask staff. We do not sell video, and bars are responsible for positioning cameras appropriately.
6. Your conduct
Nicknames, messages and gestures must not be hateful, harassing, sexually explicit toward a person, or unlawful. Adult-humor games such as Last Call are for adults only; venues choose whether to run them. We may remove content or players at any time.
7. Venue licensing and service duties
Each venue is solely responsible for its premises, permits, staff and alcohol-service decisions. A venue must:
- Maintain every license and permit required to sell and serve each listed item, and promptly notify GBN of any suspension, expiration, restriction or enforcement action affecting service.
- Use trained, authorized staff to review requests, inspect identification, assess intoxication and complete in-person service. Staff must never rely only on information supplied through GBN.
- Follow all applicable alcohol, age-verification, hours-of-sale, promotion, pricing, tax, receipt, health, accessibility, privacy and consumer-protection requirements.
- Keep menus, prices, availability, license details and venue information accurate; prevent unauthorized access to bartender and redemption tools; and maintain records required by law.
- Refuse service to a minor, a person using false or inadequate identification, a visibly intoxicated person, or anyone else who may not lawfully or safely be served.
8. Strictly prohibited venue conduct
Venues and their personnel may not use GBN to:
- Serve or facilitate service to an underage, visibly intoxicated or otherwise ineligible person; ignore required identification checks; over-serve; encourage rapid or excessive consumption; or pressure anyone to drink.
- Make alcohol part of a game rule, entry requirement, penalty, prize, wager or score; create a drinking contest; or market a GBN game as one.
- Redeem gift card value for alcohol without an authorized staff decision and an in-person eligibility check, share or reuse redemption codes, falsify redemptions, or bypass a refusal, restriction or blocked location.
- Misrepresent licensing, menu items, prices, taxes, inventory, service status or the identity of the seller; use GBN for unlawful delivery, shipment, resale or service outside authorized premises or hours.
- Retaliate against a guest or worker who raises a safety concern, conceal an incident, obstruct a review, or provide false information to GBN, a payment provider or an authority.
9. Safety reports, suspension and permanent removal
Safety concerns may be reported to support@globalbarnetwork.com. GBN may preserve relevant platform records and review credible reports from guests, workers, partners, payment providers or authorities. GBN may immediately pause gift card features or suspend a venue while a concern is reviewed.
If GBN determines that a venue or its personnel failed to check identification as required, served an underage or visibly intoxicated person, over-served, promoted drinking as gameplay, falsified records, evaded restrictions, endangered patrons, lost required licensing, or materially breached these terms, GBN may decline transactions, revoke membership, terminate access and permanently ban the venue, its owners or operators from the platform. GBN may also cooperate with payment providers and lawful government requests. These remedies do not replace the venue's legal duties or prevent GBN from taking other action available under the agreement or law.
10. Venue responsibility and indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, each venue is responsible for its personnel, service decisions and conduct on its premises, and agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless GBN and its affiliates, officers, employees and partners from third-party claims, losses, penalties and reasonable costs arising from the venue's alcohol sale or service, licensing failure, violation of law, or breach of these terms. This section does not apply where prohibited by law or to the extent a claim results from GBN's own unlawful conduct.
11. Beta service
GBN is in beta. Features may change, and the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Live video and games depend on internet connections and may be interrupted.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, GBN is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, for the service of alcohol by any venue, or for anyone's conduct in a venue. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid GBN in the prior 12 months. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these limits apply only to the extent permitted.
13. Changes, severability and contact
We may update these terms and will post the new date above. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law. Questions or safety reports: support@globalbarnetwork.com.
